Plata Fox Remodel
A whole house remodel to a 30 year old home. The big idea was to raise the roof in the back of the house to raise the ceiling height of the living room, kitchen and take the original ceiling height of the backyard porch from 7 feet to 14 feet in height. The entire rear façade of the house was given a new face lift with cedar planks on a rain screen system to help ensure proper drainage of any moisture behind the wall. This is done to help prevent any mold or rot issues for the future. In the communal areas interior clerestory windows were placed to promote natural lighting throughout the house.
